Chris Blair serves as Professor of Communication Arts and the Coordinator of Digital Media Studies at Union University, including the new Digital Media Communications major and the DMS minor, an undergraduate interdisciplinary program bringing together faculty and courses from the departments of Art, Communication Arts and Computer Science. Since 2003, he has served on the Board of Directors of the International Digital Media and Arts Association, where he has been the president and chairman of the board of directors of the organization. Blair has presented at numerous conferences on digital media issues and trends, and his work in digital media education has been published in the International Digital Media and Arts Association Journal and Renewing Minds.

Blair also coordinates the interdisciplinary Film Studies minor, which includes film courses from a variety of departments and an opportunity to study filmmaking in Hollywood for a semester at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center. He serves as the faculty adviser of the Union Film Society, a student lead organization that focuses on the art of collaboration in film production.

Blair has lived in Jackson for the past 15 years with his wife, Ashley Fitch Blair, also a professor in the Communication Arts department, and their two children, Madeline, 13, and Seth, 11. The Blairs are members of Fellowship Bible Church in Jackson.
