Biography
Jim Veneman serves as assistant professor of Communication Arts and Director of Visual Communication. Veneman teaches digital photography and photojournalism courses, and he oversees the photo staff of the Cardinal & Cream. He has covered efforts in Iraq, spending time in Baghdad and on board the U.S.S. Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier in the eastern Mediterranean. From these assignments, the book A Greater Freedom was produced.

Other assignments include the days immediately following the World Trade Center attack, the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, meetings with Fidel Castro and many other national and international stories. Most recently his photographs provided the visual content for the book, The Inklings of Oxford.
