PRSSA
Union’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter provides professional development for public relations majors and minors, as well as students in similar majors. PRSSA members have the opportunity to practice PR and build their portfolio and resume by working for Bulldog Communication Group, Union’s student-run PR firm.
Union’s PRSSA chapter is sponsored by the Memphis Public Relations Society of America chapter. There are monthly luncheons and networking opportunities to see and be seen by perspective employers as well as mentorship opportunities.
Union’s PRSSA chapter meetings offer professional development workshops designed to prepare you for interviews, internships and a successful career. Membership in PRSSA demonstrates your dedication to becoming a professional who does your work excellently. PR professionals often say they do not consider an applicant for a PR position if they were not in PRSSA during college. Membership benefits students in several ways, as well.
