Union Broadcasting Society
The Union Broadcast Society is a society for communications majors interested in television broadcasting. The society specifies in news and sports broadcasts.
Eligibility
To join Union Broadcast Society a student must be involved in one of the broadcasts at Union University. This can be the daily news program “Jackson 24/7” or the seasonal coverage of Union Bulldog Basketball.
Activities
In addition to the two aforementioned broadcasts students get to enhance their skills with a camera by creating special packages, learn the proper way to find and write a news story for television, practice on-air skills such as reporting and interviewing, and network with employers in the television industry.
